His path began in 1975 with the purpose of recovering, preserving, and spreading tradicional music of Castille and Leon. However, during his recitals he has always liked to play melodies and rhythms belonging to other regions in favor of the spreading of music of the Iberian culture.

Paco Díez founded LA BAZANCA in 1980, forming a very diverse group in which rich and varying musical influences still coexist. This group has been in continuous search of new sounds and the use of instruments inherited directly from Castillian music tradition, which has allowed Paco Diez to enjoy the development of his own personality through his interpretations on voice, guitar, hurdy-gurdy, bagpipes, and percussion. Moreover, this was possible because of a necessary and rigorous compilation of knowledge tradicional culture from very diverse regions of Spain and Portugal.

As a solist Paco is one of the biggest interpreters of Jewish-Spanish Music on an internacional level, having been awarded by the Sephardi Authorities for his dedication to the spread of this music and culture.

Traditional Iberian instruments constitute his professional specialty about which he consistently presents at conferences throughout Spain, Europe and America.

Paco Diez has already given more than two thousand five hundred concerts and conferences. It would be long and unnecessary to enumerate them so we will point out his numerous tours of France (24), Germany (3), Italy (4), Greece (2), Sweden, Portugal (11), Slovenia (2), Bulgaria (2) Poland, Israel (2), Peru, Chile (3), Argentina (4), Bolivia (2), Paraguay (2), Uruguay, Brazil (4), Morroco, and the United States (3). Paco Diez has become one of the most prestigious interpreters of the Folk circuit as well as a recognized ambassador of traditional language and culture of Spain.
